Wantable For The Win!

This weekend was hectic like usual, but I will ALWAYS make time for fashion! One of my favorite companies in Milwaukee: Wantable has made me their most recent brand affiliate and ambassador! Talk about exciting! During my photo shoot, I decided to keep it cute & comfy which I’m sure most of you aim for too.

Give me floral ANYTHING and I’m on board! When I saw this in my style edit, I thought “hmm… I have a ton of floral pieces so what’s so special about this?” When I tried it on, I immediately fell for it because 1. It’s off the shoulder which is one of this season’s hottest trends and 2. The fabric is super breathable and lightweight! Rock this piece with a pretty solid colored skirt & nude heels for a night out with the girls or keep it casual with jeans, pointed toe mules and fun accessories like I did!

These Kensie jeans are also a Wantable addition and I must say that this is the second pair of Kensie brand bottoms that I’ve received. One word: perfection! I slid them on and there was no awkward jumping to get into them, no adjusting the muffin top, nothing! They fit like a glove and what’s more? They’re so soft, have a slight stretch (which I love) and they’re mad comfortable! Wantable for the win!

If you like what you see or are curious to know more about what Wantable offers, be sure to check it out on my personal link: and you can even start your first subscription! Happy Shopping!

In A Labor-Daze…

Sorry for the delay! With Milwaukee Fashion Week right around the corner, I have been so insanely busy designing that I haven’t been able to talk about my AMAZING Labor Day Staycation! I decided to spend some much needed quality time with my mom, aunt and younger sister this Labor Day and I knew JUST where I wanted to spend it… Y’all have probably heard about the Kimpton Journeyman otherwise referred to as the newest swanky hotel in the Third Ward, but I’m going to take you behind the scenes to get a closer look.

Let me just say kudos to the Kimpton Squad for absolutely hooking it up and starting our long weekend off right with 4 glasses of bubbly and a charcuterie board with yummy snacks while we settled into the room. When I walked in, I felt super comfortable and at ease with our digs for the night. The bathroom had bright, light colored tiling, a walk in shower with a glass door and a huge antique sliding door. This was far too important seeing as the ratio was 4 women to one bathroom which can always be a challenge. This was incredibly spacious!

After freshening up, we booked it to the rooftop where all of the hype has been mentioned at the newly famous Outsider Rooftop Bar. As we walked in, I immediately understood why this was such a hot spot.

  1. The place was hoppin’ with people enjoying after work drinks/apps which made for a fun and friendly atmosphere
  2. The décor was so classic and rustic along with the spacing of patio furniture perfectly placed to create the wonderful openness of the bar.
  3. Obviously being a seasonal feature, there were cozy fires going which prompted guests (such as all of us ladies) to stay even longer even when the sun set.
  4. The twinkle lights and greenery created a “breath of fresh air” feeling when wanting to achieve the goal of relaxation after a long work week.
  5. Um, hello? The views of the gorgeous city of Milwaukee were absolutely incredible!

I almost forgot to mention that the amazing staff informed us that we had arrived a smidge too late for the happy hour specials, but then proceeded to hand us 4 complimentary vouchers for a glass of wine to enjoy, WINNING! The customer service was beyond on point and for me, that is a huge service turn on!

We decided to take this party downstairs for a late night dinner at Tre Rivali. Can I just say “WOW” in regards to the wait staff? Our server was so incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and recommended some of her favorites like the slow cooked meatballs and artichokes! Countless laughs, specialty drinks and rose’ glasses, we poured into our room around midnight only to continue the champagne and laughter. Needless to say, we all slept like absolute babies with the softest down pillows you could ever dream of laying on. (excuse me, but where can I buy these pillows? Ha!)

I woke up bright and early to find coffee, only I was horrified when I didn’t see any! Lauren. Needs. Coffee. Don’t we all? But then the lightbulb went on when I recalled the front desk agent informing us of the coffee and tea bar in the lobby they serve every morning. Godsend, let me tell you. Iced coffee, lattes, Americanos, breakfast tea, you name it, but overall: sheer perfection. All of us then sat in the cozy corners of the lobby, enjoyed our coffee together and mapped out our plan of action for the shopping day ahead!

Our girl’s staycation as a family was just what the doctor ordered and was the perfect way to kick off our long Labor Day weekend. If you haven’t gotten the chance to stay at the Kimpton Journeyman, dine at Tre Rivali or enjoy a cocktail at the Outsider Rooftop bar, I highly recommend it. You definitely won’t be disappointed. Cheers!
